Wondering

I am sitting here again wondering about love...
wondering if it ever really works out for anyone.
Are there people out there that stay together without going thru some major problems.
Why is life and love so hard sometimes? Is that what makes it all worth it?
Or is there a time to throw in the towel and want your own happiness first.
However if you do that are you just being selfish?
People are so different and what one person wants another can't stand. They can love each other but just not get along right? I don't know... still wondering
